News Flash! 3/8/2008 - Zeus takes back-toback BOB's at the Seattle Kennel Club Shows and a Group 3 on day 2!

CH Gingerbred Celestial Thunder - "Zeus"

Well Zeus has done it! He has gone from a little goofball to something very special! At the tender age of 10 1/2 months old Zeus attained his American Championship finishing with 3 majors and 2 minors in a seven show stretch! His winning ways started at just 6 months where he won his large 6-9 month class at the Rose City LRC Specialty! Zeus took 3rd in his class at the National LRC behind 2 nice Chocolate boys owned by Becky Jack and Linda Maffett. After that we decided to get a "real" handler on him as we thought a professional like Ellen Cottingham could truly bring out this little guy's potential. That is when the dam broke loose! At the first day of the Del Valle Kennel Club (Supported Entry) Zeus took WD form the 9-12 mos class for a 4 point major under breeder judge Winnie Limbourne! This was followed by two RWD at the Vancouver, WA shows. Then at the Whidbey Island Kennel Club shows Zeus took back-to-back WDs for a 5 point and 4 point major respectively. We decided to send him with Ellen on the California Turkey Circuit which also included a set of shows Arizona. We were just wanting him to get a bit more experience with Ellen and her team of great assistants. Zeus did not disappoint! At the Golden Valley Kennel Club 1 show he took WD/BW/BOB (1 point)! At Golden Valley Kennel Club 2 Zeus became a champion by going W/BW/BOB (2 points). This was all done from the 9-12 puppy class!

Zeus recently took a trip out to the Big Apple where he started out with a bang by winning BOB at the Big Apple Sporting Dog Specialty! He defeated this year's BOS at Westminster - BIS AM/Can CH Casbar's Hart to Hart as well as the 2008 Westminster BOB winner - CH Salty Dog of Tampa Bay! Zeus also went to Westminster where we did not fair as well but made the cut amongst 50 amazing champion Labradors but did not bring home a ribbon. He left the ring with his tail held high knowing that he is truly something special!

Zeus is currently the #1 Lab in "Breed" and #3 in "All Breed" systems as of Febuary 29, 2008!
